Liorah tchiprout

Based in London, Liorah Tchiprout’s figurative works depict distinctive characters - all created from models which she makes

“Instead of working from real life, I work from models that I’ve made because it invites work that sits in the intersection between the real and imagined. They can only give so much because they’re made of clay. It does make my work a lot about play.

I’ve made this world of women that I don’t know what they’re plotting or doing, They exist outside of me as an artist in a world from which I can pull images.”
